Gerald D. Boyd On Wine: Anacortes, Washington, United States; I have been actively writing about wine and spirits since the late 1960s and have traveled extensively to all of the major wine regions in the world. My byline has appeared in various newspapers including the Rocky Mountain News, San Francisco Chronicle and Santa Rosa Press Democrat. I was editor of the Wine Spectator in the early years, editor of Wine & Spirits Buying Guide (later renamed Wine & Spirits Magazine) and have contributed to various other national and international magazines. I have been a professional wine judge since 1968, serving on panels at major wine competitions in the United States, Australia, Belgium, Italy, South Africa and China. And I was an adjunct wine instructor in the Wine Studies program, Santa Rosa Junior College, California for 12 years.
